U23 ticket

The cheapest period ticket for 6–22-year-olds. The U23 ticket is valid for 30 days, and can be used on both day- and night routes.

Where to use the U23 ticket

  • All of Kolumbus' bus routes all day and night

  • Gives access to using the city bike for 15 minutes at a time (only if the ticket is bought in the ticket app)

  • Vy local trains*.

    • On regional trains you may only use your U23 ticket if travelling to/from Moi or Sira. This is because there are no local trains going to these stations. For the U23 ticket to be valid to Sira, you must show a valid school ID form Flekkefjord upper secondary school.
      The U23 ticket can not be used as payment for a part of the journey. You can not use the train to Moi or Sira and travel onwards from there with a new ticket. If you are travelling to stations south of Sira, you must buy one ticket that is valid for the entire journey.

  • Kolumbus' local and express ferries (including to Feøy and Røvær)

    • Including the night sailings between Stavanger and Byøyene.

  • Ferry crossings on national and county roads*.

  • On Kystbussen express bus*, for a surcharge.

  • Coaches administrated by Skyss in Haugesund, Karmøy, Vindafjord, Sveio, Stord, Fitjar, Bømlo og Etne*.

The U23 ticket's quality

Valid for thirty days from the moment of purchase. The day your ticket expires, it expires at the same time as the moment of purchase thirty days earlier.

The U23 ticket is a transferable ticket which can be shared with others.

Remember to buy a new pass before your existing one runs out. The ticket validator will not activate the new one before the existing one expires.

* On vehicles which do not have a Kolumbus ticket-issuing machine, it is not possible to validate your U23 Pass. You therefore need to bring a receipt, so that you can show it to a member of staff. It is not possible to top up your Youth ticket on routes outside of Rogaland.

More expensive to buy the ticket on board

It costs NOK 20 extra for adults and NOK 10 extra for students/conscripts when buying the ticket on board the bus, train or boat from the driver/crew. Children and seniors do not have to pay the extra fee.
