How does it work?

An autonomous bus drives without a human driver. The bus is operated by advanced sensor technology, and the technology is well tested. This provides a safety guarantee in traffic.

The bus can run up to 25 kilometres an hour, but in this test phase we have been granted permission to drive at 12 km/h.

In January 2018 it was finally opened for testing of autonomous vehicles on public roads in Norway. You can read the law here (in Norwegian).

The autonomous bus runs on electricity, and is charged during the evening and night.
